About Reading Food Growing Network

Following a successful launch event held at the end of Nov 2013, Reading Food Growing Network now has over 100 members and has a set of priorities for actions including:

• Supporting local growers to start to save and share seeds
• Holding pop-up workshops and info stands at local events
• Developing a monthy newsletter to support new growers
• Liaising with Reading Borough Council to raise issues related to food growing
• Continuing to research and discuss how to set up a workable local landshare scheme
• Finding new ways of sharing harvests, working with Abundance and local commuity groups
• Bringing together food growers in and around Reading and finding new ways of supporting each other
